Activists on the Global Sumud Flotilla say they are preparing to take Israel to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) – the UN’s top court. Lawyers traveling with the mission are documenting how the Israeli navy stopped their ships, claiming these actions break international law.

According to reports from onboard, the legal team is gathering video evidence and recording details of the interception. They plan to use this material to file a case against Israel at the World Court.

Meanwhile, the activists confirmed that several boats continue trying to reach Gaza. “Even if just one boat succeeds, it would achieve our goal of breaking the siege,” said one reporter onboard.

In another development, a second group of activist ships has left from Sicily, Italy, showing that efforts to challenge the blockade of Gaza are continuing. The flotillas aim to draw attention to the severe shortages of food, water and medicine in Gaza.
