At least 31 Palestinians, including six children, were killed on Saturday in Israeli attacks on different parts of the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

The strikes reportedly targeted areas in Gaza City and Khan Younis from early morning. Doctors and emergency workers said many of the victims were civilians, and several others were injured in the attacks.

The latest violence comes just one day before Israel is scheduled to reopen the Rafah border crossing on Sunday. The crossing, which connects Gaza with Egypt, has been closed since May 2024 and is a key route for humanitarian aid and travel.

Palestinian officials and aid groups have expressed concern that continued military action could worsen the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where residents are already facing severe shortages of food, medical supplies, and basic services.

There has been no immediate comment from Israeli authorities regarding the reported attacks.
