20 Palestinians Killed in Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes Across Gaza

Gaza, August 29 – At least 20 Palestinians have lost their lives, and many others have been injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes launched across various parts of the Gaza Strip since early Friday morning.

Medical officials in Gaza confirmed that several violent raids and shelling by Israeli forces have caused significant casualties. Among the dead were a man and his wife, who were killed when Israeli shelling struck tents where displaced families were sheltering in the Al-Mawasi area, located west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

In central Gaza, an Israeli drone strike hit an apartment building in Deir al-Balah, killing two people. Additional casualties were reported after Israeli aircraft targeted a group of farmers in the same city, resulting in three more deaths and several injuries. Another fatality occurred in an airstrike on the Al-Bureij refugee camp.

The Gaza Ministry of Health also reported the deaths of four more people from a drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced individuals in the Al-Sudaniya area, situated in the northern part of Gaza.

In a separate incident, five Palestinians were killed, and others injured, when an Israeli airstrike targeted a home in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued to detonate explosive devices using booby-trapped robots in the area between the Al-Sabra and Al-Zeitoun neighborhoods, located south of Gaza City.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the death toll from the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, which began in October 2023, has now reached 62,966 Palestinians, with 159,266 wounded.

This continuous escalation marks another tragic day in the conflict, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence.
